Dr. Laure Sbeit is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor. Prior to completing her 4 year Naturopathic Medical program at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in Toronto, Canada, she earned an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from York University, Toronto, Canada.

After graduating, Laure was compelled to further train in health psychology and learned techniques of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing. Her passion for psychology and teaching led her to the role of professor of Health Psychology for a semester at CCNM. Laure’s background in psychology combined with clinical experience has equipped her with the ability to develop personalized treatment protocols for those with mental health issues such as Anxiety, Depressive Disorders, Bipolar Disorder and Schizophrenia. Her treatment approach integrates aspects of CBT into individualized lifestyle counselling, dietary modification, nutraceutical supplementation, acupuncture and botanical medicine.

Laure has extensive experience with common conditions in the realm of naturopathic health care such as fatigue, digestive issues, skin issues, weight management, pain management, autoimmune disorders and conditions in men’s and women’s health specifically related to hormonal imbalances such as menstrual pain and irregularity, acne, infertility, and menopause.

Laure advocates utilization of the most natural, least invasive and least toxic therapies, and collaborates with medical doctors to bring patients to the lowest possible doses of medication that may be effective. Her experience with patients on drugs such as mood stabilizers, hormone regulators, and immunosuppressants lead her to realize the power of Naturopathic medicine as an adjunct therapy. She uses Naturopathic medicine to reduce side effects of long term medications, along with reducing side effects that commonly occur when patients taper off medications. Laure firmly believes that Naturopathic medicine paired with conventional allopathic medicine in the management of specific diseases can bring patients to their optimal state of health, improving overall outcome of therapies combined.

Laure strongly believes that education about health and empathetic support are the tools needed to empower success along the path of a healthy lifestyle. She has realized that her role as a Doctor, Teacher, and Health Advocate is one to be shared, and encourages those who are ready to embark on their journey of self discovery and healing.

Laure is a registered member of the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO), the regulatory board of Naturopaths in Ontario, and an appointed professional member of the Discipline and Fitness to Practice Committees of CONO. She is also a member of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND) and Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND).
