Matthew is a graduate of Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy and holds a degree in Kinesiology and Physical Education from Wilfrid Laurier University. He is an instructor, supervisor and the Student Services Coordinator at Sutherland-Chan which allows him to remain current in the industry and provides him the opportunity to teach the leaders and massage therapists of tomorrow.
He has a passion for helping others heal, relax and rejuvenate through orthopedic assessments, treatment planning, prescribing remedial exercises and through strategically selecting the appropriate techniques based on patient presentation. He provides a safe and non-judgmental space for all patients and individuals.
Matthew’s treatment style is typically deep tissue in nature but he is adaptable to his patient’s needs and requests. He has experience treating an array of patient profiles from stroke survivors, individuals living with long term dis-ease, palliative care to your weekend warriors, athletes, young professionals, desk jockeys and seniors. Matthew is a therapist that uses a blend of therapeutic and holistic approaches when treating.
